In 2021, Crab Creek neighbors and friends spent about $90,000 on attorney fees, expert witnesses, and communications to defeat a thousand-unit storage facility.  It was an amazing victory — until the developer appealed.  (More here on the issue and the appeal.)  (

Now neighbors are coming together again to help defend Crab Creek in Superior Court.   The cost could be as much as $30,000.  We're now seeking to raise the last $10,000 of this amount.  And, there's a match.  For every dollar you contribute, some generous local families have pledged to donate a dollar of their own.

So thank you for any amount you can give, however large or small.  And thank you for encouraging friends and neighbors to give too!

Note:  all contributions go to the Crab Creek Preservation Society, a nonprofit approved by the IRS and registered with the NC Secretary of State.  Fritz and Renee McPhail sit on the board, along with neighbor Randy Doss.
